The Van-Jan Leather Throatlash is a precisely cut, slim leather strap that completes the bridle by preventing it from slipping forward over the horse's ears. With clean silver buckles on both ends, it is a straightforward but essential component for any custom bridle build or replacement.
Key Features
- Slim Profile — Correctly proportioned width sits discreetly through the cheekpiece keeper without adding bulk to the bridle assembly
- Silver Buckle on Each End — Both ends terminate in polished silver roller-bar buckles for secure, precise fastening on the headpiece
- Quality Smooth Leather — Consistently finished leather that is supple enough to buckle comfortably without cracking at the hole points
- Correct Length for 3 Sizes — Available in Full, Cob, and Pony lengths to fit a wide range of bridle headpieces correctly
- Easy Replacement — A direct-fit replacement for worn or broken throatleashes on any standard bridle headpiece
Ideal For
Custom bridle builds, replacement of worn throatleashes, and riders who prefer to assemble bridles from individual components to achieve the exact colour or leather weight they want.
Available in Black and Brown · Full, Cob, and Pony sizes

Care & Conditioning
Care & Conditioning
Clean leather with a soft damp cloth after use. Apply a quality leather conditioner every 4–6 weeks, or more frequently in wet or cold conditions. Do not use household soaps, detergents, or oil-based products. Store away from direct heat and sunlight. A well-maintained Van-Jans bridle will last many years of regular use.
