The Van-Jan Premium Rubber-Grip Training Reins deliver reliable, all-weather grip for riders who need confident control across a wide range of disciplines. The textured rubber grip runs the full length of the contact zone, while supple leather ends provide a neat, secure connection to the bit — a practical, hard-wearing rein for serious use.
Key Features
- Full-Length Rubber Grip Surface — Deeply textured rubber runs the full riding length of the rein, maintaining a secure, non-slip grip even with wet gloves or bare hands in rain
- Leather Loop End — Reinforced leather loop at the buckle end provides a comfortable rein stop and a secure grip point when a short rein is needed
- Leather Bit Ends — Quality leather with secure bit attachments at each end, providing a smooth, direct connection to the bit rings without the stiffness of full-rubber ends
- Durable Construction — Rubber-over-leather construction is designed to withstand sustained use across jumping, hacking, and cross-country without cracking or peeling
- Practical All-Rounder — The universally accepted rein choice for yard hacks, early schooling, and riding in unpredictable weather conditions
Ideal For
Show jumping, cross-country, hacking, riding school use, and all-weather training where reliable grip is more critical than fine sensitivity. An essential practical rein for every yard.

Care & Conditioning
Care & Conditioning
Clean leather with a soft damp cloth after use. Apply a quality leather conditioner every 4–6 weeks, or more frequently in wet or cold conditions. Do not use household soaps, detergents, or oil-based products. Store away from direct heat and sunlight. A well-maintained Van-Jans bridle will last many years of regular use.
