The Van-Jan Premium Leather Bio-Grip Dressage Reins combine the elegance of traditional leather with the grip security of integrated rubber inserts. Multiple leather hand stops are evenly spaced along the length, giving the rider consistent rein feel and ensuring the hands maintain the correct position even in wet or demanding conditions.
Key Features
- Bio-Grip Rubber Inserts — Raised rubber grip panels are set flush into the leather along the contact zone, providing a secure, non-slip grip without the bulk of fully rubber-covered reins
- Multiple Leather Hand Stops — Evenly spaced keeper-style hand stops allow the rider to feel rein length consistently and maintain even contact without looking down
- Full Dressage Length — Extended length suits dressage horses with a longer neck outline and allows sufficient loop for contact work at collected gaits
- Silver Bit Hooks — Polished stainless-steel hook ends click securely onto any standard snaffle or double bridle bit rings
- Premium Leather Quality — Full-grain leather outer with a supple feel that softens with use and maintains its structure through regular washing
Ideal For
Dressage schooling and competition, long-format training, and riders who want a secure grip without switching to fully rubber-covered reins. Particularly valued in wet arenas or outdoor venues.

Care & Conditioning
Care & Conditioning
Clean leather with a soft damp cloth after use. Apply a quality leather conditioner every 4–6 weeks, or more frequently in wet or cold conditions. Do not use household soaps, detergents, or oil-based products. Store away from direct heat and sunlight. A well-maintained Van-Jans bridle will last many years of regular use.
